Millions of Cats

One of my favorite rhyming picture books to read aloud, this is a silly, far-fetched story with a very sweet and satisfying ending. Old-fashioned illustrations are a perfect accompaniment to this tale about a little old man who just can't pick the best cat out of millions, so he brings them all home.  When his wife finds out, she reminds him of the impracticality of keeping "hundreds of cats, thousands of cats, millions and billions and trillions of cats".  An unexpected calamity occurs and the elderly couple are left with the sweetest kitten of all.  Highly recommended!
